We're Sunny and Alanah, the couple behind The Camp Journal.

Based in Queensland's beautiful Lockyer Valley, we spend our weekends chasing campfires, country roads, mountain views, and anywhere that gives us a reason to pack the ute and get outside. Home is the perfect launching point; close enough to the coast or the city when we need it, but we're happiest heading further inland, finding a quiet campsite with good coffee, even better wine, and a campfire meal to finish the day.

Camping is our first love, but we're always up for trying something new. Whether it's hiking to a lookout, paddling across a glassy lake, exploring a four-wheel-drive track, or dusting off the snowboard (RIP my tailbone ), we're all about saying yes to new adventures.

We're not experts, and we don't pretend to be. We're simply passionate about the outdoors and sharing the places, gear, experiences, and lessons we pick up along the way. We believe adventure doesn't have to be epic or expensive, it just starts by getting out there and having a go.
